About the Author

Ellen Bernstein is the founder of Shomrei Adamah (Hebrew for "Guardians of the Earth"), the first national Jewish environmental organization. She is a graduate of UC, Berkeley, and received her M.A. from San Francisco State University. She is the author of several books.
